UNNAMED 2

A spontaneous trip to New York inspired this artwork. Crossing Lexington and 57th, Weaver stopped. Gazing at sunlight reflecting from the cityscape, it occurred to her that architecture often dictates the way a city’s inhabitants act. With taxis honking, she took it all in, then headed home to capture the energy canvas.

The vibrant colors of the city invite the viewer to feel a part of the activity. Patty’s ragged vertical strokes create a spirited and inspiring vision of New York City where chaos and order intermix inextricably.
